Why we started
In 2023, after one too many “premium” recipes refused on sight and one too many scented litters designed for human noses, we decided to build the brand we wished existed. Small-batch, ethically made, vet-formulated, and judged by the most demanding critics we know.
The name came from the two things we wanted every product to be: whisker-close to what a cat would choose, and as unhurried as a willow. Everything we make has to pass inspection by our three studio cats — Miso, Juniper and a void named Moon — before it earns a place in the shop.
What we make
Wet and dry food, treats and toppers, litter and care, toys, beds and furniture, and grooming essentials — for cats, and the humans who answer to them. Nothing in the catalogue is filler; if it’s on our shop page, our own cats eat it, sleep on it, or have shredded it approvingly.
How we make it
Our recipes are cooked in small batches in a family-run kitchen in Oregon; our beds, scratchers and bowls come from partner workshops in California and Portugal. Every material — stoneware, sisal, organic cotton, oat bouclé — is chosen for safety first, then for how gracefully it survives a cat.
We test every product with real cats (including one famously picky tortoiseshell) for at least eight weeks before it ships. If it doesn’t pass the sniff test, it doesn’t ship. Period.
What we believe
- Built to last. One well-made thing beats five disposable ones — better for your cat, your wallet, and the planet.
- Vet-formulated where it matters. Anything that goes near skin, mouth, or food bowl is reviewed by a licensed veterinary nutritionist.
- Slow, on purpose. We release fewer products, less often, and stand behind each one for the long haul.
